Molecular formula | C6H15O4P
Molecular weight | 182.16
Properties | Physical properties: Colorless free running transparent liquid with a little fruity odor. Melting point is -54.6℃, boiling point is 215.26℃, relative density is 1.068, refractive index is 1.4055/20℃, saturated vapor pressure is 0.13kPa /39℃, viscosity is 1.6cp. Soluble in water, alcohol, ether and many organic solvents, insoluble in petroleum ether. Chemical properties: Stable at normal temperature, it hydrolyzes if heated and generates diethyl phosphate. Bubbles hydrogen chloride through triethyl phosphate can generate chloroethane, monoethylphosphoric acid, and diethyl phosphate. It can generate phenyl diethyl phosphate if it is boiled with phenyl magnesium bromide in the mixture of ether and toluene. It can generate N-Ethylmorpholine if it is heated to 157-159℃ with morpholine. |
